A day in the life of Sydney

Amy and Jamie travelled to Sydney from Brisbane for a weekend in our great city and we caught up with this lovely couple on their pre-wedding shoot in Sydney.

We first met Amy at Sarah & John’s destination wedding in France earlier this year and what an event that was!

Amy was so impressed by our work and how well we all worked together, that she later booked us for her destination wedding in Noosa early next year.

I love Amy & Jamie’s engagement shoot photo’s they definitely capture their happy, fun and easy-going personalities.

From Sydney’s Hyde park to the botanical Gardens with views over the bridge, we captured some great city scene shots.

A stop over at Tiffany’s for a peek, then we finished off the photo shoot at the W-hotel for a well deserved drink.

We are really looking forward to catching up with them again for their wedding in beautiful Noosa, Queensland.

Marc & Lyn’s Wedding; Above the Blue

Marc and Lyn had a symbolic ceremony on the balcony of the lovely hotel, Above The Blue in Imerovigli, Santorini.

Always their dream, to marry and have photo’s taken in Santorini, we took them to a number of beautiful locations to reflect the different scenery the island has to offer.

After taking pictures around the hotel, we went on to a small remote beach and to Oia just in time to catch the magical sunset. The day was assisted with Poema Weddings & Events, taking care of all the wedding details.

The couple completed their night by having a romantic private dinner at the lovely Andronis in Oia.

Their photo’s show some of Santorini’s great places to take wedding pictures.

A Parisian couple in Santorini

[blogshow id=c636 player=0 autoplay=0 toolbar=1]
Late July this year we had the pleasure of meeting a beautiful couple from Paris, who were so in love and chose Santorini as their wedding destination.
We clicked instantly with Candice and Francois and their lovely and happy personalities made the photography even more stunning.
The couple married on the terrace of Dana Villas, with everything done in style by Poema weddings and events… after the ceremony they had a private  romantic dinner at Dana Villas, and the setting was stunning overlooking the magnificent waters of Santorini. The table was filled with candles and olive branches, white and green themed details in time to watch the silent sunset over the caldera.
Keeping with the relaxed nature of the Island Candice wore a delicate laced outfit which she brought in Venice and thought would be perfect for her destination wedding, Francois wore a dark grey suit with a lovely soft pink shirt for a bit of colour.
The photo session was one we will remember for a long time and this is what the couple had to say about their experience …
“We chose Thomas Gallane because we liked his authentic and natural work.
And not only are our pictures really gorgeous, but also we had such an incredible time during the photo shoot !
We wanted something natural, spontaneous, and the pictures reflects exactly the lovely, moving, funny and unforgettable moment we had.
We truly want to thank you for your kindness, your professionalism, and because you have a great part in the success of our wedding day”.

Mara & Ferruccio’s wedding in Santorini

On a perfect sun washed day in Santorini, Ferruccio and Mara travelled from Northern Italy to have a lovely private wedding ceremony with their immediate family members.

Mara looked simply stunning on her wedding day, with those amazing eyes and bubbly personality it wasn’t difficult to capture her stunning beauty.

The day began with Renia Beldaki’s amazing make up at the couples hotel in Imerovigli.

The couple stayed far from tradition, Mara wore a short strapless bridal dress, with blue silk detail and Ferruccio looked very smart in his black suit and matching blue tie, which suited their Santorini Island wedding perfectly.

The couple married late afternoon on the lovely open terrace of Dana Villas and their wedding was Styled by Poema weddings and events in Santorini. Selecting a greek theme, the terrace was decorated with olive branches and a gorgeous bouquet of fresh flowers by Santorini Flowers-Agrokipio.

The overall day was a very romantic and the couple had photographs taken around the cobble stone streets of Santorini with panoramic views over the Caldera.

The days events finished with an intimate dinner with their family and we wish Ferruccio and Mara all the very best in the future.

Here are their beautiful wedding photographs.

Vowel renewal in Santorini

Helena and Steven’s romantic dream of renewing their vowels on the lovely island of Santorini was a private, heart-felt event which we were fortunate enough to photograph.

After being married for many years it was evident the couple were still very much in love and it was an absolute pleasure to be part of.

Held at the amazing venue of Villa Irini, overlooking the Caldera, the wonderful venue provided us with some stunning photo’s of white washed backgrounds with the beautiful light Santorini is known for.

Poema weddings and events in Santorini styled the wedding and added the perfect touches to the days event.

It was a joy to photograph Steven and Helena’s love for one another.

Please visit our facebook page for more destination wedding photos and here is what the couple had to say about the experience and their wedding photographs tell the days story….

“Hello from a very wet and grey England! Getting back to work has been a real shock after our very special time in Santorini. Our fab pictures are the enduring evidence that you conjured that day, you are the archetypal magician who crafts physical substance into being and we can’t thank you enough! From our hearts to yours and there is always a warm welcome for you in London when you next visit. Much love from the both of us, Helena and Stavros!!! xxx”
