The wedding day began and ended with music, married at the wedding venue of The Opera House marquee Lukanda and Michael’s wedding day looked like so much fun.

The couple’s ceremony took place at St Charbel’s and after the ceremony butterflies were released outside the church.

Photo’s were taken around the city and on the harbour as they welcomed their guests arriving by boat.

When it was time to cut the cake guests were invited with sparklers outside with Sydney Harbour as the backdrop for photos.

The table settings were filled with yellow native flowers and a bubble-ball like feature that hung from the ceiling on the main table.

The bride’s wedding gown was from Diana Lewis and the wedding planning was by Anthony Del Col.

Their cake featured the Opera house and the wedding photo’s attached tell the days story

The Restaurant had great ambiance and the food  tasted as good as it looked. The Head chef presented us with plate after plate of  Entree’s, Main’s and Desserts, from succulent meat dishes to homemade gnocchi and tasty pizzas

A great dinning location or place to meet friends for a drink and we thoroughly enjoyed photographing each meal.

The images attached are bound to get the tummy rumbling.

The families of Michael and Anna were absolutely lovely, which made their wedding day a wonderful event.

The gorgeous wedding couple married at Scared Heart church followed by the reception at the beautiful wedding venue of Sergeants Mess.

There was lots of excitement in the air and moments of adoring eyes, and as the speeches took place it was both entertaining and heartfelt.

Anna was truly radiant, wearing a gorgeous wedding gown designed by Mary Ioannidis Couture.

The bridesmaids wore stunning white silk gowns with elegant black lace, which were handcrafted by Anna’s very talented mother.

The girls had white long stem roses as bouquets with matching black ribbons and the wedding cake was a white classic two layered cake decorated with fresh roses, linking with the theme.

Thomas photographed the couple and bridal party in and around the venue, capturing so many fresh and candid wedding photos of the very photographic couple, which you can see above.

Overall a simple and elegant wedding and we wish Anna and Michael all the very best for the future.

But how well do you rate your photography skills?

Here are some simple and basic tips to help improve your shots right away:

When shooting portraits, don’t be afraid to get in close, for those with an SLR use the manual settings and open up the aperture to 5.6 or lower, this will give you a nice blur in the background of the image, making your subject stand out, remember to focus on the persons eyes.

When photographing landscape images shoot low on the horizon, this will give you better depth of field making the image seem deeper.

Look for interesting elements, like colour, shape or line repetition, shadows and of course interesting lighting effects.

Thomas got some  glamorous wedding pictures at Frank and Renee’s wedding.

Bubbly Renee looked so beautiful and wore a wedding gown which was custom made by a designer. The girls wore long length bold pink bridesmaids dresses, which were off one shoulder with lace detail.

The young and happy couple tied the knot at St Benedict’s church followed by a reception at the Dolton House at Sylvania Waters.

Frank looked very suave in his suit from  Harrolds and Tom Ford bow tie.

The couple had Bentley cars for the occasion and Renee’s make up was by Helen Sotis and hair by Tamara Finn.

Their gold and white cake was designed to match Renee’s dress and was made by Something Blue cakes.

Renee and Frank honeymooned at the lovely Chaeteu Elan in the Hunter Valley and are planning a trip to Europe this year.

We first took some fantastic engagement portraits of wedding couple Michael and Renee at their Prymont apartment, over looking Sydney harbor and the harbour bridge.

The images were not your classic portrait photography rather a fresh approach to portraiture by professional photographer Thomas Gallane.

The couple were thrilled with the portrait images as were we, using profoto lighting along with many years of photographic experience the photographs speak for themselves.

Everyone was waiting to see gorgeous bridal designer Oahn Ma’s wedding gown and it was well worth the wait.

She looked ravishing in her unique wedding gown which she designed, that fit her perfectly.

All the dresses were done by Oanh Ma Couture and the bridesmaids looked elegant in their fitted long length silk blue gowns.  The girls accessorised with coloured umbrellas which added an extra splash of colour and vibrance in the photographs.

It was an early start to the day, Eric looked very smart in his Hugo Boss suit and Thomas took photo’s of the boys down by the Shangri-La Hotel in Sydney before attending the service, at St Brendan’s Catholic Church.

Their family and friends attended the reception afterwards at Fisherman’s Wharf Seafood Restaurant.

A lovely day filled with modern-traditional elements and some truly wonderful wedding photographs that Thomas has captured on the day.

Jennifer was one of the most lovely bride’s I have met.

The couple married at Little Bay and Thomas took some great photo’s of Tom and Jennifer and their families around the surroundings of the church, along the water, before arriving at the Quay Restaurant for a lovely intimate lunch time wedding reception.

The cake was simple and elegant, white with yellow trimming with handmade flowers as a feature.

The couple were radiant and midway through the ceremony Jennifer changed into a gorgeous satin gown and took some wedding pictures around Sydney’s harbour.

The wedding was styled and planned by Nightingales in Ultimo.

With one of the most important tasks you will face in planning a wedding, many people today are deciding to combine a destination wedding-honeymoon, rather than try and organise a big wedding back home.

At first planning an overseas wedding can seem a little daunting, but with some help and careful planning you may save yourself a lot of money.

A few things to consider to get you started, look at the time of year you would like to get married and what the weather is like for that month at your preferred destination, making yourself also aware of any special events, local festivals or holiday periods.

Perhaps look at getting married outside of the busiest time of year to reduce your travel cost and go through a travel wholesaler when arranging your travel fares for groups larger than 10 people.

List the number of guests that will be travelling abroad to attend the wedding and look at the arrangements of transporting guests to the wedding venue.

Another thing to consider would be, whether it is a destination were you would also like to spend your honeymoon or if you could easily travel somewhere close by after the ceremony just the two of you.

Your budget will also effect your choice of location, however depending on your number of guests, it will still be considerably less than what most would spend on a wedding, not to mention you’d get to marry at a romantic location of your choice…

A wedding planner could be of great help with your arrangements and provide you with a few local and professional contacts, saving you time and money in the long run.

At the end of last year Thomas had the pleasure of photographing Steven and Petroula’s wedding in Santorini. The couple included a holiday honeymoon in Santorini and around Europe, their close friends and family who attended the wedding, also had an absolute ball before and after the wedding. With approximately 40 guests, the reception was held at an intimate wedding venue called The Pantheon, which was overlooking the Caldera. Guests were conveniently transported there and back by bus giving them more time to relax and enjoy the nights event.

The couple had help organising their destination wedding through wedding planners Poema weddings based in Santorini and also had the chance to meet up with Thomas and the wedding planners Amalia and George a few days in advanced. Giving them the opportunity to see all the locations and take some photographs around Santorini before the wedding day.

Cassie and Clinton were a lovely couple in love and tied the knot in style at the Margan Winery in the Hunter Valley.

Cassie’s gown was a knockout by Zoe Marie Couture and the bridesmaids looked so glam in their own unique style bridesmaid dresses in lovely latte tones. The flowers where beautifully done by Peonies Floral Design, and complemented the dresses effortlessly

As the guests gathered outside the of the winery for the garden ceremony, the groom and groomsmen arrived in black helicopters landing on the Estate, blowing guests away with their entrance.

We captured some beautiful wedding photography around the grounds of the Hunter Valley Winery with the couple, before cutting the unique wedding cake done by Farmgate Cheese, designed to look like cheese, showing the couples love of food and wine.

Guest took photo’s and wrote messages to the couple in an album, which proved to be a hit and memorable record for the couple.

The wedding day went ever so effortlessly smooth and the couple and guests seemed to have lots of fun on the dance floor, a spectacular wedding event and venue!
